Minvy Cloud vs iCloud: what does what

Cross-device sync is a Minvy Cloud (Premium) feature. iCloud is Apple's separate service — Minvy only uses it for optional backups, never for sync.

Minvy Cloud and Apple's iCloud are two different services, and they do different jobs.

Cross-device sync — Minvy Cloud (Premium)

Syncing your inventory between devices — your iPhone and the Minvy web app at minvy.ai — is powered by Minvy Cloud and requires Premium (or the free Intro trial). Changes sync automatically within seconds; see "Cross-device sync (Premium)" for details. Minvy does not sync your inventory through iCloud.

Where iCloud fits in — backups only

iCloud is Apple's storage service. Your iCloud plan and any storage fees are between you and Apple — iCloud is not part of any Minvy plan. Minvy touches iCloud in two optional ways, both for backup rather than sync:

Neither of these syncs data between devices — a backup is a safety copy, not a live mirror. For an always-in-sync inventory on more than one device, that's Minvy Cloud with Premium.

Platform: iPhone & Web
