Connecting and disconnecting Google

How to connect your Google account for Gmail receipt import, and how to revoke access.

Gmail receipt import requires you to connect a Google account. This is a one-time step done from the Minvy web app. Minvy uses OAuth — you sign in with Google directly, and Minvy never sees your Google password.

Connecting Google

  1. In the Minvy web app, go to Settings > Connected Accounts.
  2. Click Connect Google Account.
  3. A Google sign-in window opens. Choose your account and review the permission requested.
  4. Click Allow. You're connected.

What permission Minvy requests Minvy requests read-only access to search Gmail for messages containing receipt or invoice attachments. It cannot read other emails, send emails, or access your contacts or calendar.

Disconnecting Google

  1. Go to Settings > Connected Accounts.
  2. Click Disconnect next to your Google account.

You can also revoke access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
