Categories: rooms and collections

Categories are the folders of Minvy. Every item lives inside a category, which lives inside a property. A category typically represents a room (Kitchen, Garage) or a collection (Cameras, Jewellery).

Managing categories on iPhone

• Add — tap the + button on the property home screen.
• Rename — long-press a category and tap Edit.
• Delete — long-press and tap Delete. Note: deleting a category deletes all items inside it.
• Change color - long press and select from range of colors.

Managing categories on the web (Premium) You can view, rename, and delete categories from the web app too — deleting offers to move the contained items to another category first.

Tip: Use collections for items that don't belong to a physical room — for example, 'Insurance Claims', 'Sell', or 'High Value Items'.
