Barcode scanning
Scan a product barcode to automatically populate item details.
Minvy can scan product barcodes using your iPhone camera and use the result to look up or pre-fill item details.
How to scan a barcode
- Tap + to add a new item.
- Tap Scan Barcode.
- Point your camera at the barcode. Minvy detects it automatically — no button press needed.
- If a match is found, the item title and other details are pre-filled. Review and edit as needed, then tap Save.
If no match is found, you can still save the barcode number as a reference and fill in the details manually.
Tip: Barcode scanning works best in good lighting. Try angling the camera slightly if the scan doesn't trigger.
