AI credits: what they are and how they work

AI credits are the currency for Minvy's AI-powered features. Each time you use an AI feature, a small number of credits is deducted from your balance. Credits are separate from your Premium subscription — the subscription unlocks the AI features; credits power each use.

Your welcome credits New Premium subscribers receive 1,000 welcome credits automatically. These are added to your account as soon as your subscription activates.

What costs credits

• Simple AI suggestions (e.g. auto-filling an item title from a photo) — low credit cost
• AI-powered receipt OCR (parsing complex receipts with multiple line items) — higher credit cost
• Other AI-assisted operations — cost varies by complexity

Checking your balance Your credit balance is shown in Settings > AI Credits.

Buying more credits Additional credits can be purchased from Settings > AI Credits > Buy Credits. They never expire.

Tip: On-device features like barcode scanning and basic OCR use no AI credits — credits are only consumed by cloud AI operations.
