Adding an item with the camera

The fastest way to add an item is to photograph it directly in Minvy. The app uses on-device image recognition to help fill in details automatically.

How to add an item using the camera

1. Navigate to the category where you want to add the item.
2. Tap the + button.
3. Tap Camera to take a new photo, or Photo Library to use an existing one.
4. Minvy may suggest a title based on what it sees in the photo. Accept or edit it.
5. Fill in any additional fields — cost, value, notes — then tap Save.

Tip: You can add multiple photos to a single item by tapping the + photo button on the item detail screen.
